We here at BLC are curious! What were some of your favorite board games as a callow youth?
Daniel Lessin, CEO and Lead Designer of Black Labrador Creations, was big as a youth into the roleplaying opportunities behind Life, followed by the masterful strategies of his family's interpretation of Mancala, then Stratego, where he first broke his teeth on miiltary tactics games back in the days before the Board Game Rennaisance. As it went into full swing, however, his first ever game of that generation was King of Tokyo, a great game in its own right! Having been introduced to such games, he then began playing games based around the AWI, which suited his reenacting background, before trying out such games as Betrayal at House on the Hill, as suggested by his friends. Of course, he's also quite partial to his own board games and books he writes and designs, such as "Loyalty or Liberty?" which can be found at www.blacklabradorcreations.com
